i didnt realize it was Chris Hemsworth until he spoke rofl,
Anya Taylor-Joy dont really know her, but i liked her role/acting,
supercool that she didnt have a license but learned to do a J-turn on her first day of stunt school.
no clue that Elsa Pataky is married to Chris, didnt even notice her in the movie,
do feel the 2.28hrs was way too long

Just started watching and seeing Chris’s wife, again, in his movies? Really? It is a turn off to continue tbh.. just my personal opinion. The woman is too sticky at this point.. (personal opinion, again…)

I am really looking forward to watching this. There will always be a connection between this lot of actors and their movies if you were ‘there’ at the time…. Gen X baby!

No doubt about it! I watched when it first came out and recommended to a bunch of people but they were too stupid to appreciate it. It’s my fav.

Agree! When I found this I just loved every minute of it - and I told so many people to watch… of course, none of them did. Their loss. Might be time for a re-watch. Thanks for the reminder.

Godzilla Minus One (2023)
Luvlinguae 1 points 3 days ago.

I was not expecting this film to be so good. I was really impressed. Not only tons of old-school action, but it addressed difficult issues of honor, dignity, and social responsibility in a country already on its knees. Absolutely worth the watch.

Dexter: New Blood (2021)
Researcher 1 points 4 days ago.

Actually, I was cringing at the thought of that kid leading a spin-off. Granted, didn’t think they’d continue with Hall , but I don’t think Harrison has the gravitas needed for the role of a serial killer. Having said that, definitely looking forward to a prequel, maybe even several prequel seasons. IMHO, Slater’s casting bodes well and I’ve enjoyed Patrick Gibson’s work, so it’s all up to the writers now.

haha @gravitas.

In terms of everyday life, I try to keep it positive. Mental states affect so much. Had never considered worrying about different timelines although some physicist believe it is possible. I do wonder about different realms of existance within this timeline.
I wouldn’t worry about living in Maine. Horrible things have happened most everywhere in this lifetime, really. I live by a creek that turned red with blood during the civil war.
Think happy thoughts:)

greyfur 3 points 3 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Oh, the Maine thing was a joke, been here 24 years now. But in all honesty, if I’m ever in a car with someone, and we pass a sign that says ‘Welcome to Derry’ or ‘Salem’s Lot’, you can bet I’m getting that car turned around right fast, just on Generals…🤣

I was expecting it to be better a whole hour on her story as a little girl was kinda boring
but it’s was okey didn’t like it as much as the old ones tho and it wasn’t as great as Fury Road!
I feel like Anya wasn’t the right pick for this!

Ps did anyone see the scene with mad max looking over the desert

hellsingfan01 4 points 3 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Yes I saw his cameo but it is a spoiler as for the film spending alot of time on her as a child that really wasn’t an issue for me personally as it was kind of needed to help to better understand the character but I do agree with the fact that this film isn’t as good as Fury Road was tho.

Had to vote this a 5/5 to compensate for some of these ridiculous 1/5’s. The show is extremely fun and engaging throughout every episode. There are some glaring plot holes sometimes but for how well done the show is overall, I’ve chosen to ignore those. I’m looking forward to season 3, and also thankful for this site and its users for having shown me, that I haven’t watched everything worth watching.

Jennifer Lopez did a great job on this movie. There were a good bit of cliches but the characters used them well. I enjoyed the action in this movie and it had me cheering for the good robot - not sure if you would actually call that a robot; it’s the thing you see on the movie poster. I want one of those! I’m not talking about a bathtub toy that squirts water, I want a life-sized one that I can run up and down the road haha. I recommend this movie for a watch.

Just another one of those cheesy “When The Vapid and Vacuous Try To Date” reality shows and I watched every episode like it was the ONLY show on T.V. ;-) So, here’s my takeaway………Poor delusional, THIRSTY Brittany… Sebastien saw that coming in episode 1. She just couldn’t shut up. Jamie and Renee seem too good to be true. He got to meet Mom and Yaya. 3 generations of botox and pulled faces so….. at least he knows what to expect for the future. 27 year old teenager Lloyd still needs a stylist. Maybe Ariana can lure him out of those training sweats and basketball shorts in the brief 2 months they will be dating. I give it 2 to 3 visits to Turkey for Ryan and Sofia. I don’t see her embracing that culture change so easily. Marco and Abby seemed the most level headed. Hope they both get the happy ending each of them deserve.

Yeah, kind of like if you think about it, it’s happened in some other timeline. Makes you wonder about writers and all the things they have written, could have all of those things have actually happened in some alternate version of here? Some spinoff of the road not taken?

And then there’s King, and the weird wacked out stuff he’s written, kind of makes me want to move out of Maine now….all things considered, I think we’ve been lucky.

I love this whimsical and touching adaptation of the Sara Varon graphic novel. Nominated in the Best Animated Feature Film category at the Academy Awards, it doesn’t need dialogue to tell a story of how deeply fulfilling, but fragile, relationships can be. I’ll never hear Earth, Wind and Fire’s “September” again without thinking of this film. It’s suitable for kids, but I’m not sure how much of it younger ones will get or if it can hold their attention throughout.

Let’s not forget the whacked out stuff H. P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker, Ray Bradbury et al have all come up with. I used to think the “trips” were all pharmaceutical, but as the quantum possibilities are addressed…well, now there’s that, innit?!

greyfur 2 points 4 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

No kidding, needless to mention all of the science fiction stuff I used to read as a kid, and then all the fantasy stuff later on. And then you factor in all the random stuff that rolls through peoples heads every day…

Pretty mind blowing what the possibilities wind up being.

I tried watching this show before but those screaming kids ruined it for me. I decided to cowgirl up and give it another go. 4 episodes in and I do like it so far, but I have a question…does the screaming ever stop???

Please say yes!

tabularascal 1 points 4 days ago.

It gets more shouty and less screamy, with the onset of puberty in the actors (the youngest is now 12). But no, not completely. It’s asymptotic screaming.

I can’t get enough of this show. They feel like friends at this point. Yes I realize they’re fictional. But it’s how it feels to me. 😁

It’s back! After a 1 year hiatus, I didn’t think I would see it return but here it is. It picks up where it left off with a good subplot that focuses on the characters. If you are a fan of this show, you’re gonna love the 1st episode.

Super good, but only if you can watch with subs. The dubbed version is silly sounding. Otherwise, riveting!

Terrifying Timber 2 points 4 days ago.

It’s an international cast and the episodes are predominately in English. However, the Swedes speak Swedish when they’re alone together. The same goes for Germans, who naturally speak German internally. I could find only one link with the few necessary subs that worked for me.

Dexter: New Blood (2021)
ThinMan 1 points 4 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Definitely good enough to re-watch, especially with the spin off early days prequel starting filming in June 2024. However, we wish they’d of chosen Harrison and not Dexter to to spin off. Without Michael C. Hall I’m afraid Dexter will be lacking severely, plus Harrison had inherited the “dark passenger” and that would have been much more interesting (for us). We’re still hopeful! This is a terrific sequel!
