way to reality dump all over a joke :P
So real question, how many years before a series goes into development would they sign someone on as an executive producer? The show was first reported as in development 2 years after her passing.
Again, my initial comment was meant as a lighthearted ha ha. The idea just hit my particular funny bone. Is she a zombie? Or are they doing zoom meetings using a Ouija board?
I’m sorry I ruined your beautiful story. ;-P
Dumping, though? Really?? I was making a joke in return… I guess you didn’t get it? I could explain it if you’d like! (I get off on that sort of thing.) See… she published several volumes of very popular BDSM erotica. Thus, “creative control.” haha. get it?
But also, one of those books was the basis for a terrible movie (https://www.primewire.tf/movie/240506-exit-to-eden) where the director completely butchered the story—rewrote the script as a comedy so bad even Dan Aykroyd couldn’t save it. I guess after a thing like that, you get anal about who can touch your stuff.
So yeah: she was born again, disowned her whole Vampire oeuvre, and later died, whereupon her son wrote a terrible pilot that sat undeveloped in a drawer for several years, the rights were sold to a completely different production company, and still her name (and her son) are attached to it.
Incidentally, I don’t believe Zoom supports Ouija boards. You’d probably have to use FaceTime or MS Teams.
You DID ask. :-P
