A funny goof the writers made; in S02E09 “Convalescence” Murdoch says Mrs. Kitchen is a terrible cook. Then in S10E08 “Weekend at Murdoch’s” Julia offers to cut Murdoch’s hair instead of him going to Mrs. Kitchen, and he says then he wouldn’t have an excuse to go back and eat her stew. lol
Getting back to George and Effie for a minute; getting the divorce also lets US know that she will remain on MM. A good exit for her (when the contract is up) would be joining George in Newfoundland :)
