SCARY as frozen Hell. Wish I could erase this movie memory and watch it again for the first time.
The next best thing (heh) is the 2011 remake.
As the original was and is still so good, a remake can only come second, but IMO they did a pretty good job with it. Def worth a watch considering your wish - I thought the same and it did a good enough job for me.
