Discovered this by accident, half drunk and stoned, about 1 AM on an analog Canadian channel reaching Boston. Funniest sci-fi I’ve ever witnessed to this day. This stuff is gold.

I’ve enjoyed this series myself..it’s a tad too silly for me for 2binge on though!

Forgot about this show, watched it before, a long time ago, but seems I never checked off the episodes when I watched them. Going to go back and watch it again, just watched the pilot, and it’s been so long since I watched it it was almost like watching it for the first time again, so this should be a good binge.

Pluribus (2025) S1 E3

The day she saw them doing everything they were asked, even having sex with that guy. That should have been a planetary sized neon flashing sign, that they would do anything they were asked. i mean it’s not rocket science. At that point in the show, it should have been clearly obvious.

Jirido 1 points 19 days ago.

Maybe the hive have sex all of the time and just thought that.. Well, WTF this seams fun.. Let’s XXX!
It might be your cultural experience that women see sex as a chore, but thees ones are culturally liberated trough the access to the world soul. Atman having become Brahman. It come natural to them to not be in the scheme of selling them selfs as assets for benefits related to emotionally imprinted norms, identity and societal status structures.
So that argument is moot.
But I agree that she could be more methodical and just probe them in a hacker like manner.
But come on, she obviously ain’t the smartest doc in the block and why should she be..
It make no sense that Einstein would be the one that did not integrate just to satisfy us, an audience.. She is just a grieving, chocked, angry, sad, entitled suburban middle class women that is used to live in luxury by grifting on other entitled middle class women’s unsatisfied emotional needs she have conceptualized somewhat successfully.. It is not a sign of high mental acuity.. It is more a sign of moral and societal decay. A decay that has its roots far beyond her as being a “normal” person in an american context we must agree.
The show is realistic enough to be satisfyingly fantasy stimulating.. So far..

Not surprised, Cant remember the last time Cage made a good movie.

The last good Nick Cage films that I saw were “Dream Scenario” and “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” and those are only from two years ago. 🤷‍♂️

Yup, with you on that. “Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear—not absence of fear” is one thing we learned rather quick in that line of work huh? And, ‘would love for us to work together to squish the said darn ghastly creature. And, it would make for a good story over a couple of cold ones afterwards too! :-)
Dang I used to love that job, as I absolutely hate and despise bullies, racists, and of course any misogynist bastard who might give a lady a hard time. Out the effing door right quick! And what with some good tricks of the trade I hardly ever had to hit a guy. So t’was jolly good fun!

Thanx, I appreciate the appreciation. Strange coincidence, your comment reads a lot like my old resume. 6 foot, around 205, used to be bartender/bouncer for US Irish pub, and… what you said. (except reverse, I worked security before bartendin’) Admitting fear doesn’t diminish badassness in my opinion, just shows we’re human whether we like it or not and we can laugh about it. (I’m betting both of us after we were done screamin’, it would turn into furious swearing and tryin’ to squish it with something!)

Toonaholic, I appreciate both your humour and your candour! I’m six feet two and weigh 225 pounds and worked the door as a bouncer for several years, as well as security for a few more years in some pretty rough clubs. At times, the job got hairy and scary, but you can’t show fear. That said though, if “a huge alien insect lands on my arm, I’m screamin’ like a little girl and flailing around wildly”!

Entertaining, unless you are one of those crybabies who complain about a movie not being adapted exactly how they want. The world doesnt revolve around what you want otherwise they would of started to do faithful adaptations awhile ago 😂.

Downvotes just prove the accuracy.

Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) S4 E5
Wizzdom 4 points 19 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

it didnt follow its own canon. at one point there was a readout of the ship being consumed by the void of the universe collapsing, and Bev is on the bridge watching this readout when, on the screen, the bridge gets consumed, yet obviously it didn’t cause she’s there watching it. prior to this the computer told her that there was decompression on some of the decks of the ship, then later on she was being chased by the void of the collapsing universe through the ship with no deck decompression to be seen. it felt like a lame horror movie where the protagonist is chased through nonsensically slow obstacles by the killer. they could have centered the episode on any character than Beverly and it’d have had potential, even with the Wesley superhero meta. I had the thought that perhaps it is one of the episodes Roddenberry had a heavy hand in and clashed with the producers/cast at the expense of the entire production.

Twixtid 4 points 19 days ago.

An astute observation Dixon lol, jokes aside, you’re absolutely right, I often watch ALOT of my television well into the early hours of the morning, and though I may not be asleep I probably don’t catch as many details in some of these episodes as I may have if I was bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) S4 E5

I do remember this one, this is the one where Beverley keeps jumping through time and each time she does something goes missing or changes right? What exactly did you find cringe about it, I don’t remember it scene for scene.

Well it wouldn’t get him far if He told them the truth, Archer has no Idea who the Xindi’s friends are, so it would be a bit foolish to show your hand prematurely. He’s a soldier, some situations require the ability to lie.
