Hold off on your thanks till after you watch the pilot. You may not like it, it’s not for everyone, since many peeps don’t care for ‘found’ footage movies. I like them since they give an extra layer of realism to the acting.

Part two is as funny as it is stupid — and it is incredibly stupid. That being said, the whole film, as you pointed out, is nonsensical which I think created its charm back in the day.

Extra points for having rented it at Blockbusters. Add a +6 if it was in VHS. lol

Emma Stone [ probably unrelated to Roger Stone or Oliver Stone ] does a brilliant job, but the
Korean ‘original’ story is a rip off from the genius of David Lynch and Twin Peaks this could be a
medium level episode, similar dream like situations. Emma is the only reason to watch, the over
the top weirdo characters are perfect reflections of actual people in Hollyweirdo land like the poor
handicap dude with a Afro who is a twin of Samuel Bankster Fried, a financial criminal. 10/10 for Emma.

Totally brilliant. Duplass is a psycho in the best way possible.

T’Pol had a charm that has since worn off for me and this is why, Tim Russ and Leonard Nimoy. T’Pol has no soul, no substance, now, some people would immediately try to argue “well, she’s Vulcan, they are supposed…”, no sorry, yes Vulcan canon dictates that they adopt logic and suppress emotion yadda yadda, but within a Vulcans adherence to logic, they actually have the ability to drop some of the best dry humor I’ve heard out of nowhere, and it makes sense because that’s what dry humor is, Nimoy and Russ do this perfectly and portray the Vulcan way expertly, I don’t see that level of commitment here from Jolene at all.

The fact that he’s mentioned but not seen may be a quirky ‘in joke’ between the writers. Bit like how Seinfeld always has a superman pic in their shows. Next time one of the actors is at a convention someone needs to ask :p.

Love this one. It’s an 80ies era gem of a movie and love the storyline…seeing a cameo performance of a (then unknown talent) rock guitar virtuoso by the name is Steve Vai is an extra added bonus too.

This one is a total 90ies era Guilty Please gem.
I remember seeing this one in the theater shortly after I had separated from Active Duty from The Air Force and personally knowing a few of the military movie advisors who were in The Army and actually took part in the Invasion of Panama to oust Manuel Ortega

I have to say…THIS is one of those 80ies era movies that has grown on me over the years. I remember at first, when this movie first came out in the theaters way back when, just thinking this was a totally crap movie and the storyline wasn’t funny (then again I had a differing view on death and the loss of someone at the time). However…as time has gone by and just like with “Pet Semetary”? I have ended up liking this one as well as it’s sequel too
