Star Trek: Enterprise (2001) S1 E13
Twixtid 6 points 25 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

So I watched this episode, but I obviously didn’t pay close attention to it, I often will watch the show but will be making coffee in the kitchen, or tidying up while I watch my show, anyway, apparently there is some HUGE backlash about the outcome of this episode that I must of missed because there is a HUGE divide in the Trek community over what happened in this episode, I need to re watch and pay close attention. But in short the divide is between people who feel like there was a clear right and wrong decision here, while others would argue that there are lasting consequences that need to be considered, the other half believing that it would have been ā€œgenocide through inactionā€. Like I said, I gotta re watch it and pay close attention, huge debates on this episode out there.

prism 4 points 25 days ago.

They are torn between helping because that’s what most people would want to do VS leaving nature to take it’s course. I honestly don’t know what I’d do if in that position :/

Star Trek: Enterprise (2001)
Twixtid -3 points 1 month ago.

Fun fact I am on my 3 arc of the series TNG, and all 3 theme’s take exactly 20 pushes of the right arrow from start of theme to finish. All three 3 series I’ve watched thus far, VOY, DS9, now TNG have theme’s identical in length lol…

prism -4 points 25 days ago.

Personally I think the theme fits perfectly with the series. I think ENT is the only one I don’t FF through hahaha

Star Trek: Enterprise (2001)
Twixtid 6 points 26 days ago.

Lmao some people on reddit posts even went so far as to advise people NOT to watch the final episode of Enterprise as the second to last episode was preferable to the actual last one that was aired lol.

prism -1 points 25 days ago.

I like TNG don’t get me wrong, but at the moment for me, I’m kinda burnt out from it. It’s on Pluto TV and they’re playing the same 3 seasons over and over again lol. DS9 I couldn’t really get into, although I did watch it a couple of times.

And the people on Reddit are right; the last episode is like a slap in the face - stop at the second last one. Jonathan Frakes did an interview and said he was very uncomfortable and regrets doing it.

Frankenstein (2025)

This was a very touching heartfelt retelling of Mary Shelly’s fabulous fable. Del Toro did this story much justice. It is perhaps my favorite so far. There are two others that I regard as in the same rank which was Bram Stoker’s in which DeNiro played the monster and the one made in 2015 I really enjoyed that one too. https://www.primewire.tf/movie/150864-frankenstein

Star Trek: Enterprise (2001)
Piglet -4 points 3 years ago.

I’m on episode 14 of season 1 and I can’t stand T’Pol! I know Vulcans show no emotion but I could tolerate Spock and he was half human. But T’Pol comes off being a total B*H to the point I’d really love to slap her! I repeat that I know Vulcans don’t show emotion but for the love of God, could she be a bit more likeable?

Twixtid 0 points 25 days ago*.

Not sure why but I find her adorably charming, it aint the rack, I think it’s the fact that her character deliberately tries to come across as racist and unapproachable as a way to keep herself from developing any attachments to the crew or taking on any of their ā€œlikenessā€, which is clearly not happening as we see her eating pecan pie in her quarters :)

Star Trek: Enterprise (2001)
prism 4 points 26 days ago.

This and Voyager are my favorite series’, SNW’s is right behind them but that may change when it ends - hoping it has a better written ending than Enterprise (I know why it ends but how it’s written is something else)

Twixtid 6 points 25 days ago.

Been thinking about your comment and it is a little odd to me that as someone who has watched the franchise in it’s entirety that SNW warranted a mention before DS9 or even TNG. Most people would immediately point me to either of those if I were to ask which ones most Trek fans would consider the best of Star Trek, so I am interested to hear why this isn’t so for you.

Elmer Gantry (1960)
Ruthyruth 1 points 25 days ago.

One of the GREATEST movies ever made based on one the GREATEST books ever written. Please look beyond the Christianity professed in this movie. Please watch this extraordinary movie until the end. Please set your religion, or lack thereof, aside and consider the message being sent. This 1950s USA movie provides us with an extraordinay platform to review and confirm the humanity and each of our religions or/and belief systems. I believe this movie (and the book it is based upon) to be an opportunity to re-confirm each of our faiths in the light of our humanity. Richard Brooks is a genius filmmaker with undeservedly low recognition for his amazing career and awesome canon. Elmer Gantry, in my opinion, is the pinnacle of the masterworks of director Richard Brooks, and actor Burt Lancaster, and author of the book this film is based upon of the same name, written by Sinclair Lewis. This film is not only a classic of American cinema, it also opens, quite wide, the American sentiment and the fundamental foundation of a country that can never be understood without reflection on its most sacred and myriad beliefs. Please watch this movie not only for its thought provoking entertainment value, but also as a vision of an era of USA history that gave birth to our world today.

To be honest I have given up on Interview for more reasons than I care to list. So far, the writing and production has not repulsed me here. Far from how things work and what we have. Plain English, this is garbage and way to far from facts. 1 Star

The Amateur (2025)
Piglet -5 points 5 months ago*.

Rami Malek has been very busy. He will star along with Russell Crowe in a new movie titled Nuremberg. It’s a true story of the trials held by the Allies against the defeated Nazi regime. It centers around the American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (Malek), who is tasked with determining whether Nazi prisoners are fit to stand trial for their war crimes and finds himself in a complex battle of wits with Hermann Gƶring (Crowe), Hitler’s right-hand man. I’ve always been fascinated with WWII history and have watched a lot of tv shows/movies about WWII. The release date is set for November 7th.

Pluribus (2025)

So far it’s a keeper. There are a few issues I have with the takeover and spread. In order for the take over the occur simultaneously planet wide there would have to be a timer in the RNA itself or a receptor that would keep it dormant until it received a signal. Even then you could not expect 100% coverage. The jets that were crop dusting would need days for it to settle at the altitudes they were flying and even then, just staying indoors alone would delay infection. If it is a signal that activated it. It is possible that a similar signal could shut it down. \0/

Loving it so far. Everyone has their place and acts their parts very well. This is an origins story for sure, all about that, I don’t normally watch shows week by week unless they are REALLY well done, I’ll be waiting for this one every week for sure.

What a mess. It feels like a rushed B-movie and the cast is wasted on this. Confusing timeline, terrible ending, far-fetched story (as if the US can’t shooting down one ballistic missile), and who was the guy swimming in the beach?

Hasn’t The Whole Bloody Affair been out since 2006, just not in theaters?? So did they stitch in a few minutes of ā€œbonusā€ bulls—t so that they could charge Tarantino paeans to don adult diapers and glue their asses to movie theater seats for 4+ hours, pretty much just so they can cluck about the ā€œnew transferā€ to their online buddies later…

Frankenstein (2025)
BobbyBBB -5 points 26 days ago*.

With all its lavish sets and costumes, and over usage of CGI, it would have made for a better musical. What? Was Andrew Lloyd Webber unavailable? It may have given the upcoming Wicked: For Good a run for its money. Maggie Gyllenhaal was smart to delay the opening of her Frankenstein inspired movie The Bride until March of 2026 in order to distance it/herself from the stench of this mess!

This is the Star Trek format most fans would be accustomed too. Getting right to it, I keep hearing about the angry Vulcan barbie, but guess what? Her character was written that ON PURPOSE, and with that said Jolene Blalock plays the character perfectly and expertly. The rest of the crew is really likeable as well, too bad it was only 4 seasons.
