I think you are right. I believe thou that it, before or later, will swing back to some sort of reasonable, liberal social-democracy with progressive tax, free child and healthcare, like we see in many places in Europe.. It does make an economic sense for the masses. The largest problem with that model is the corruption by the officials whom’s “limited” “security first” communal identity get to regulate how the “love” and society is gonna look. They always become a mafia to not have their complacent cowardice mirrored. Sociocracy (as an extension of democracy) probably is the solution. Specifically Sociocracy 3.0
But as glowingdemon say, the 2 party system in place is an agreed responsibility avoidance scam scheme with an right pumping one way back valve based/made of “communist scare”. So in essence it is an secret one party system. Like in China. The next swing back might be the moment for US,(I always hope) or you will have to go yet some rounds. It depends on how rigorous and true your political discourse are to reality vs to the individualistic “right to climb to the top” dream, that seam to be held in so high regard as a driving force in US to keep it being Nr 1. It is hard and brutal to be, and keep on maintaining being “the Empire”.

Thanks for the reminder of Childcare. Being childless I tend to not always think of the little darlings/devils. The rest sounds very legit. So thank you for your thoughtful reply.

The status quo has currently swung so far to the right in general that Democrats are now really mostly just center-rightists.

Really boring movie that constantly needs suspension of disbelief. Basically has one core idea its moving to which could have been cool but just needed ages to get to. The main character is also hard to care for with all the stupid reactions and distant stare.

With Watts and Close perhaps but Kardashian and Nash - HAHAHA! I’d be shocked if these 4 ladies ever take a case to trial! Would require too many wardrobe changes between each cross examination! The amount of time it takes to get these hags camera ready for a 1-2 minute scene takes up a good 1/2 a days shooting!

I love how old shows tried their hardest to be hot, and now people try their absolute best to not be. Was Nickelback the scapegoat that made it all come crashing down?

Predator: Badlands (2025)
Harthal 3 points 1 month ago*.

It was pretty good. The Predator stuff is great, the Alien-franchise stuff were the weakest parts. Plot was mid, predictable, and formulaic - could have been worse/better. My nitpick: The tech in Alien-universe doesn’t do holograms, it’s supposed to be all tactile stuff and look like old CRT monitors. Prometheus introduced the more futuristic high-tech things, which has kinda been retconned? I would have preferred if they kept the franchises separate or something rather than do one right and get the other wrong, could have been generic synths, idk just my nitpick. I didn’t care for the synth sisters. Worth watching!

The 2 party system is and has been a lie for decades now.
Both parties believe in the globalist agenda and have very similar goals on the stuff that actually matters.

Waltzing with Brando (2025)
Jirido 3 points 1 month ago*.

The flick could have been much better if the director had directed the actors a bit more.. maybe group exercises or body paint orgies or something. Now thou much of the acting is quite wooden. People often talk to each others like they reading lines or talking to strangers while others look.. But it is not all bad. It is also very sweet in the sense that it is a low budget docudrama movie. It does tell a true story about Marlon, his life and friends and legacy building a dream society. I say Thanks. For his acting and Dreams.

You can’t replace a wolf with a puppy… Besides that, the show was woked to death even before that, the only one keeping it on live support was Henry. Now that he is gone it fell into the abyss.

Star Trek: Picard (2020) S1 E7
Twixtid 1 points 1 month ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

This show is REALLY taking it’s time man, but I AM gonna stick with it. Agnes is an extremely talented actress although I am not entirely sure I approve of her character as a whole yet. Soji’s arc is an interesting one but only because it’s tied to Data, if it wasn’t for that I really wouldn’t care about her all that much. Seven left as fast as she came in, hope things better moving along soon. I can see why some do like this show, but so far this is on the complete other side of things when it comes to what makes a Star Trek show Star Trek and it’s REALLY hard to swallow.

Predator: Badlands centers on Thia (Fanning) teaming up with an outcast Predator as they set out on a journey to defeat a mutual foe. “You’re hunting something that can’t be killed,” Fanning warns. Is all I’m going to post and from what I’ve read, it was a physical challenge for Fanning to say the least.
