now this was dope! both latif and shazad latif (sp) were great. Sky is starting to put out some great work…. that opening theme alone was done with such style and creativity. too bad its a mini series.

I finally decided to watch this, and the pilot’s ending made me cry so hard. If you haven’t watched it, consider it strongly.

Jokes aside, ppl dont seem to understand that “shows”/ “film” of this quality are created for one purpose only. its called money Laundering. does anyone even comprehend how SIMPLE this is to accomplish in THIS particular industry? for example, take the opening theme of this “series” ask yourself if it looks like ant real effort was put in? it looks like it was made on my 29.99 target burner phone…. folks these are factssssss not my imagination..

Maybe. But I feel like comparing Julius Cesare to modern a day politicians is a large discredit to him. He was one of the greatest leaders to ever exist.

I was struck by the characterizations of Julius Caesar and Nero. According to the episode Caesar was a showman who became well known to the elites and the general public as a big entertainment promoter of spectacles who used his connections and fame from producing spectacles as a strategy to rise in politics. He was known for over the top flourishes like adding polished silver to gladiator armor to make it glint in the sunlight. His combination of entertainment and politics was so successful that after 20 years they made him dictator for life. That all sounds very familiar. Nero was the other side of the coin — he was mainly interested in entertaining himself and his friends and seeing how far he could keep pushing the envelope. poured a lot of money into constructing a huge amphitheater meeting his own specific designs and preferences, and the senate wasn’t too happy with his grandiose behavior. He insisted that his amphitheater had to be the largest amphitheater in the world. He liked hanging out with celebrities and had a favorite gladiator. This also all sounds extremely familiar. The couple of decades that all of this was happening, Rome slid from republican government to autocracy followed by imperial rule.

Seaason 10 starts tomorrow! (well, Thursday for us). I thought when Doug Henshall left, that would be it’s death knell, but it’s just as good now. I really like the personal background stories.

Okay so that Schimitar @27:20 is about the sexiest damn fake ship I’ve ever seen. In my opinion, the best of the 4 movies by a landslide, half this movie is an epic throw down between the Enterprise and Schimitar.

I dont know why but First Contact felt watered down in comparison to Generations and this one feels watered down in comparison to First Contact, I still enjoyed it though, onto Nemesis, then Picard I think.

A really good movie but doesn’t compare to Generations, Generations was such a spectacle and gave us everything Star Trek is only new and improved complete with epic space battles.

For the one interested in viewing 🙂 this in sync with the 👉️ Firefly Series.. krl246 suggests an “ultimate” viewing order in a comment on the page. Someone in the comments also mentioned that this movie is to be seen after the series. I found that it worked good 👌 for me. Happy viewing.
