When Mr. Bookman, a sidewalk salesman gets visited by the angel of death, informing him that he will be dying at midnight that night, he convinces the angel that he has one big pitch to make before he dies. As a result, the angel takes him at his word, and as a result, a neighbor's daughter is stricken ill and "Mr. Death" soon comes to take her. Mr. Bookman soon realizes what he did was wrong and immediately sets out to make things right. |
