Anne Sothern & Robert Young lead this film, but Eleanor Powell steals it. She’s shot by Busby Berkeley himself doing Gershwin tunes & makes the show hers. One great routine is with a well-trained dog. Another is with over 100 male dancers. Busby said she was the best dancer ever, and this is an army drill sergeant that worked with lots of dancers. Made a career of it. Ellie wore him out.
