You mean you expect new Sci-fi series to actually focus on the sci-fi aspect of writing rather than all the deep brooding emotions split up with long silences showing the characters working through their most inner turmoil…..
You’re lucky if you ever get 25% of sci-fi shows being about the actually shows story. Writers are too busy shoe horning in virtue signalling crap and unnecessary pathetic ‘love stories’/complex relationships that for some random reason have to be resolved before the characters can deal with the bomb they’re trying to defuse or escape the clutches of some killer/creature.
Every new series/movie you hope it will be a bit less so only to find they’ve decided to ramp it up that one step further……
