It’s funny you mentioned the graphic novel thing, I’ve been told by people that read them that the series did a huge disservice to them. Many people said it was a complete botch job, compared to the graphic novels. I think that is true in any tv show or movie if you are going to base your show on a book then it should be followed as close as possible. Anytime they haven’t I’ve been very disappointed for sure. Yup, That’s the reason some of the TV adaptions of Steven King books didn’t turn out too good, they left out so much that really made the books. Of course, he wrote a lot of books that were really long, so it would have been a bit hard to make a whole ‘made for TV’ movie, but at least they could have tried to make a better one. But your right, they for the most part change too much, and really should stick to what the author wrote, which is what the fan base wanted to see in the first place.
