Really digging this so far, it’s a nice slow burn drama that reminds me of older spy films. Not the ones that assume spies have super human powers and unlimited ammo, but the gritty dark dramas that show these covert operatives as human, with their own problems and weaknesses. Very much reminds me of the Redford movie ‘Spy Game’. Here we have the seasoned veterans and the trainees just starting in tradecraft. Sure, it’s tv and obviously not realistic, but there is a nice focus on examining the human flaws and psychological pressure/damage these people undergo. Fassbender and Wright are excellent as usual. Gere seems to be still trying to find the balance of his character, but looking forward to future seasons.
