Rubbish. An insult to the original. Not so much a sequel, more like a cheap poorly-made remake trying too hard to do everything bigger & better - but without the soul & depth. It just doesnt work. The story is pretty much identical, and the characters are too similar, and far too many flashbacks & quotes from the original. Only none of it is done as well. None of it grabs you. It’s lazy and repetitive. Paul Mescal is no Russell Crowe however much he tries, he doesn’t have the presence, the character, the gravitas, the experience, or the depth. This time we are given 2 twin insane emperors, The fight scenes are OTT and too much CGI, You may think that Denzel would save this mess, but eventually he gives up and just starts camping it up as the insane panto villain. Save your money & time, and avoid this disaster.
