This has always been a favorite of mine. I really do enjoy movies that are character/dialog driven. Just focus on telling an interesting story. No need for all the FX/CGI.
I forget where I watched it, I think it was on a late night show like Conan. The guest was an actor who does some producing/directing now. He explained how the movie industry has grown so big that it’s starting to eat itself. Where if they don’t keep pulling in those 500 million plus profit movies they’ll go bankrupt. So they don’t care about those smaller movies and won’t give them a chance like they use too. That’s why theres mainly only these “huge” box office explosions now. Which is unfortunate and honestly a real let down.
