Zepp suffered a lot of tragedy, including the death of RP’s 5 year old son Karac from a stomach virus, and subsequently how the media spun things out of context. That event caused RP to have a breakdown and the band to take a pause. They all seemed to be such great mates, and it showed in everything they did together professionally and personally.
yes it is heart wrenching the death of his little boy, R.P that is. He later on had another son. However when John died the band simply felt he was unreplaceable. Looking back on all the drummers since, they were heavily influenced by Bonham such as Dave Grohol etc so I believe they were correct on that assumption. May all the survivors find peace in their heavy loss. I’m sure they still feel it today.
