The comparison is often made between the film Idiocracy and modern society and while I can see similarities reality is far worse. In Idiocracy we have a world filled with the ignorant and uneducated who have nearly driven themselves out of existence via their own stupidity. They find the smartest man on earth and ask him advice, and eventually try that advice out and it works. Yay the world is saved. In reality we have much the same sans listening to smart people. Idiocracy would be a utopia compared to reality.
