Idiocracy (2007)

Okay, so we are splitting hairs here. I do not believe that people transition so that they can reproduce. Of course they can not function as the opposite sex in every aspect. Within the realm of what is scientifically possible, I believe that if you ask a trans person if they are happy with their results, they will tell you they are. Let us, for the sake of argument call that a successful transition. Someone who becomes more like the intended sex than that of which they were born. But this is off topic. People on the extreme right these days will tell you that transgender people are like a plague of locust. They are everywhere apparently! This is simply not the case. If I walk through a crowded airport in any major city, I may pass one, perhaps two transgender people and probably wouldn’t even know it. In this case a person called out “lefties” and specifically mentioned transgenders in their argument that the left is stupid. Liberal, as a word is broken down to liberty. Transgender people simply want to be happy. Liberty and the pursuit of happiness is not stupid. It’s American. That is closer to the actual topic of discussion. Not an anatomy lesson that I’m sure transgender people are more familiar with than most. This person also claims that during covid our rights were taken away. And that “lefties rooted for it”. How about we take a look at that. Because the real topic here is Idiocracy. Someone pointing the finger at the left as a whole and saying you’re stupid, is an argument that simply doesn’t hold any water.

Yeah I understand the left and right part but only from what I hear in the media. Since I am not American and English is not even my first language (you might have spotted that through my words 😅) I prefer not to interfere because no matter how much I’d claim to understand it, I would never grasp it as much as a true American who lives it on daily basis. All kinds of media cannot be trusted to build an opinion from the outside ofc. As for the trans community, that I’d say must be a limited community, I believe you there. Even if the count is relatively higher in the west for a higher standard of living.. the luxury of being able to undergo surgery rather than just wanting to change, I’d admit it wouldn’t be logical to represent a swarming of people wanting to do it or have done it. Which kind of contradicts the media’s representation too. (on both sides, being for it or against it.. I guess someone is benefiting from it on both sides too, in a greedy way, not the people in question themselves 100%.)

My personal opinion (getting subjective here because what do I know?), I don’t think they are actually happy when they do it. I’ve seen people before and after and while they claim to be better the happiness is not manifested on them in any way. In a 3rd world with so much problems of being able to afford basic needs like paying bills or having health problems with a bad healthcare system, you can definitely find people think less on such matters which in turn allows one to start thinking… is it really not just a mental state? I think the luxury of the 1st world gave a chance for the mind to start thinking of one’s own gender and whether one would be happier to “change”. I hold no grudge in anyway ofc, after all, as I said, I don’t live there.. I hope I represented that well at least. Sorry if I got into the anatomy and biology thing, I ofc understand it’s pretty obvious for everyone. It was not a lesson but rather thinking if such community really wants to change, at least some of them will eventually get frustrated after surgeries that they can never fulfill the reproductive part of the new gender, and if “re-arrangement” has been done, they have now lost the ability of the gender they were born with hence, sadly, they are left sterile.. If they are ready to give that part up, that’s another thing but once they start “missing it” it’s game over.

Pardon the long message..
