Famous in its time, this flick ranked with Close Encounters & Jaws. It was co-written by Beatty, famed for being a playboy for sure. Has a lot to say about not just sleeping around, but whoring. Political whoring specifically. And the political ignorance of Americans specifically who are a bit too self absorbed.
Has quite a cast, including Beatty’s sweetheart Julie Christie, Lee Grant, Goldie Hawn, Jack Warden, and a early appearance of Debbie Reynold’s 19 year old daughter Carrie Fisher before she became Star Wars Princess Leah a year later.
