The old lady, who I assume is the Master, breaking the fourth walls is the final nail in the coffin for me. Doing that says that none of it is real and all of them know it. That makes all the “life threatening” events meaningless lies. They are just acting and it takes me right out of the show. I watch shows to be immersed in the story but that’s no longer possible since the story is fake.
Yes, I know none of it was ever real but I feel like I like a show better when I can suspend my disbelief.
Except for the characters, it’s not fake with only Mrs Flood being the one to break the fourth wall for reasons that we don’t know yet so please do stick with it.
