I really enjoyed that, I have much different feelings on Franco’s ability to act. I thought he was very captivating in this for a prequel to the Wizard of Oz I was not disappointed. Today would be a perfect day to sit the entire family down to watch this well developed movie
Really is a good movie done with love & respect to the MGM adaptation. Franco is indeed good as a shyster carnie who reluctantly becomes a protagonist, but not without great cost. The folly of his false flattery plays hard on Mila Kunis & Rachel Weisz both, and both actors run with their parts. Michelle Williams as Glinda The Good is very believable as the embodiment of maternal protection & goodness which is far better than what Franco’s huckster character deserves.
