Well this was meant to be a Doctor light episode so not having the new companion in it all that much does make sense as for the theme it was meant to be how PTSD can affect your life.
I think if you wait a full day to reexamine this episode, you’ll find that it’s all over the place. I watched it half asleep and it felt very disjointed. Would Kate Stewart really do that. I know our villain will play a part later on. Ruby was not treated well in this episode and she deserved better. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either.
