One thing I have noticed (and I don’t consider this a spoiler, it’s actually rather obvious), but no matter what Star Wars movie or episode I watch, it seems that Empire body armour is utterly worthless. One shot, one kill, and that’s it. you would think that far in the future they would be doing a bit better then that.
Screw the Empire, I would be working for the Rebellion, just based on that alone..🤣
That’s a thing that’s been explicitly retconned in to explain stormtrooper performance in Episodes 4-7. Stormtrooper armor, tie fighters, imperial speeders, etc. all really suck. The expansion of the Republic army in to the Imperial army/navy meant going from 6 million clone troopers to at least 100 million storm troopers, so they got shotty equipment until they earned veteran status and an upgrade to ‘real’ armor or a TIE model that isn’t a death trap.
