Thx for your point. I would like to be even more candid: Neither Hamas nor the current governemnt of Israel care about their people. They each have their personal goals to achieve which are power, influence and … wait for it … money. Greed is what makes conflicts go on and on and on, no matter at what country or continent you look. Our species is despecible and because we are at the end of the food chain the latin quote is fitting: homo homini lupus est.

Correction: Hamas has offered to hand over control and put all their weapons in guarded warehouses in exchange for an end to the war.

Remember: Hamas was a construct funded by Netanyahu initially meant to drive a wedge between the Left Bank’s PLO (def corrupt nowadays) and Gaza.
Hamas BARELY won the vote in 2006, and, Israel has not allowed any elections since then.
Palestinians AND Hamas accept Israel has the right to exist, but have been fighting against occupation, State sponsored terrorism AND the right to return (and for equal rights).
Netanyahu’s going to prison as soon as the next PM is voted in. The Right Wing extremists his party partnered with are True Believers, like our own Andrew Jackson was against the First Nations tribes.
