The Four Seasons (2025)

labeled “Comedy” and starring some heavy hitters of both comedic acting and writing. I thought this was going to be a laugh riot. I teared up more than I laughed. Definitely worth watching but don’t expect 30 Rock or Macgruber. It’s contrived petty drama, not much story, feels emotionally manipulative. Just couples having issues for no reason other than to make it seem like something is happening. Story pacing was odd and formulaic, they keep doing this thing where something huge happens and we don’t see it happen, it just cuts to the next scene with people saying what just happened. All the big moments are like that, bizarre choice. It really worked the first time but after that it was annoying. Sounds like I hated it but there was a lot to love too. The caliber of performances was high and it’s not slow at all. Kept me entertained non-stop. I’d recommend it just not as a comedy.

It’s a black comedy. Did you ever see the movie it’s based on? Alan Alda, who wrote and starred in it, did a cameo on this series adaptation. https://www.primewire.tf/movie/182217-the-four-seasons
