Lolita — also known as Tokitae, or Toki — died 18 August 2023, after spending 50 tortuous years in captivity in a tank the size of pea, at cruel pleasure of humans, who ignored her in every way possible. This documentary brought home to me, once again, how shallow and self-indulgent (to the point of their own demise) humans are. I am ashamed at our species on this planet beyond measure. Then we allow a criminal to remove all protections for endangered species. Well what to we expect from a liar that would also invade sacred lands and poison the water for coal??? I once sailed in the San Juan Islands, and had the extreme privilege of swimming with Orcas. They are gentle creature that are highly intelligent and highly family oriented. WE killed Toki because WE as humans have ruined this planet with our greed. A very good documentary, if you want the truth.
