On the last day of my public (elementary) school they would play a movie instead of teaching us anything. This was one of the movies they would play and we would often be upset if they chose something else for us to watch. It was played on one of those old reel to reel movie projectors. Great memories and great acting by the beloved Dick Van Dyke. He was the cats pajamas back in the day. Walt Disney was his go to guy for sure.
That’s great. Really dig this movie, but only got to see it once as a kid at the drive-in. For us, it was Thanksgiving and xmas that they showed movies. It was always What Ever Happened To Baby Jane & The Ghost And Mr. Chicken for one holiday and then The Reluctant Astronaut & Tales From The Crypt for the other. Sometimes they’d swap in The Incredible Mr. Limpet.
