You people got to watch movies at school?
Any movies we watched were educational. We DID have monthly movie viewings…. after school…. for a dime … bag of popcorn was a nickel. And they usually got something fairly decent to play… usually one of the Disney movies, either a cartoonish movie like Bedknobs and Broomsticks or Escape To Witch Mountain. The (original) Incredible Journey. Old Yeller.

We’d all sit on the floor in the gymnasium and they’d project it (movie-sized) on one wall.

Finally, in grade 9, I got a teacher who was more ‘outside of the box’ and we got to watch The Dambusters and Bridge Over The River Kwai while studying WWII.

Old Yeller is my favorite Walt Disney movie hands down. I still watch it now and again. Great selects. My friend. I want to watch the bridge on the river kwai. I’ll put it on my watch list. Thank you
