Iโm a fan of the Mission Impossible movies, after I saw the last one on here I went to the theater to see it properly. That said, this one was a disappointment. Not only will I not be going to see it โin theaterโ but I could barely slog thru it here. Instead of just Xing it out, I came back the next day to watch the last 25 minutes. I donโt think it was the length that made it so tedious, Part 1 was of similar length and was fantastic through and through. Perhaps it was what seemed like excess, uninspired dialogue. Excess and uninspired because there were times where after 1 line of dialogue I could recite what were likely to be the next 10 - 15 lines just from my head, no need for actors to say it. Bordering on cliche, if not a downright incursion into that territory. And even once or twice the sniff of preaching a message to the audience. Additionally, I understand the desire to connect to previous installments or wrap up old plot lines, but compared to the rest of the franchise this was like watching a Clydesdale run the Kentucky Derby.
