Another update: Young Sherlock’s eight-episode season is in production and will be released on Amazon Prime Video; it is currently set for a 2026 release window. But of course, no actual date yet. And there is another series that should be released in 2026, True Sherlock. Four feature-length episodes and is based on Nicholas Sercombe’s book series, The Unexpurgated Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Each episode will be a stand-alone story contextualizing Sherlock Holmes in a more modern context. Just a little trivia on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes: 137 years later, the famous sleuth holds the record for being the most-portrayed fictional character in screen history.
