It felt like that Paramount spent all of five minutes in getting this movie made when they’ve spent years trying to get a fourth theatrically released Star Trek film made.
yes. they could have made more of it. At first its supposed to be a full show and now that movie seems to be all whats left of the idea. I think its interesting to bring different genres into the Star Trek Universe but obviously they are still learning. I was positively surprised by lower decks - which is a comedy cartoon (!) - and prodigy (which obviously is also a try to get younger audience into the franchise). At first i thought its ridiculous, then i just wanted to know what happens to the little guy and watched every episode.
