Great movie. What Hollywood did to this woman was nothing short of criminal. They violated her in every sense of the world. Kurt Cobain even mentions her in a couple of his interviews that what they put Frances through struck a nerve with him. It is perhaps why his daughter is named Frances. I urge anyone to check this movie out. As usual Jessica does her story justice. After learning what they did to Frances Farmer, it isn’t a giant leap to suggest that Hollywood may have had a hand in Marilyn Munroe’s death. After all Frances went on to speak of the horror she was put though. Perhaps with Marilyn they didn’t want to take that chance again

Cobain wrote a song about her on Nirvana’s 3rd & last album ‘In Utero’. It’s called ‘Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle.’ Check it out here: https://youtu.be/C-deMfnLtMI?si=L0v0TywPWb9Hg2KG If you look in the comments on youtube you’ll find someone posted the lyrics. I always wondered what the song was about since it was an odd title to me back then. I’d not heard of Frances back when the album came out.

I love Lange so I’m going to check this movie out.
