Germany has a strict system for recognizing foreign degrees especially from non-EU countries so many were stuck doing low skill work or unemployed. If they were even aloud to work. Many people waited 2 years just to be authorized to work or even attend official integration courses. It’s not like Germany was ready for the million plus refugees anyways. They lacked enough language programs, housing, or vocational support. A very difficult situation to be in for both sides. Despite all this, it appears 73% of Syrian men are employed 7 years after immigrating to Germany. I learned all of this in 10 minutes on my phone halfway around the world.

Germany controls,if somebody pretends to be a nurse etc by checking against facts…which can be a nuisance for pretenders…
73% are employed? “employed” is a wide field, here even a “language course” paid by the work-agency puts you out of the unemployment count of the government.
Germany hadnt to be “ready” for a million syrians simply because syrians already were safe in the countries surrounding syria. wandering 12 countries to arrive in Germany doesnt qualify as “fleeing a war zone”
if you check on your phone, try to learn how statistics are “worked” through the government.
A fact, based on german state police accounts,is,that syrians are 5 times more criminal than the average german, they rank high in crimes against live as well as in crimes/rapes against women…so happy to have them arround.
