I met a couple of university teachers who had this book on their had to read list..I was very impressed. I believe the book was banned a couple times too. I consider it required reading myself.
I remember reading this truly amazing book for an English class when I started college in ‘76, and then again in the mid-90’s…In all honesty, I haven’t checked out the film version yet, as stories such as this are usually difficult to rewrite into a screenplay. Probably about time to watch the interpretation.
