Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson (2025)
HTink -2 points 6 months ago.

This documentary is nothing more than a shallow cash grab, resurrecting the same debunked allegations made by Wade Robson and James Safechuck. Both men previously testified under oath that Michael Jackson never molested them—Robson in the 1993 investigation and again during the 2005 trial, and Safechuck testified against molestation allegations in 1993. Both men have repeatedly tried to secure money from the Jackson estate, only to have their cases thrown out due to lack of credible evidence.

Robson’s shift in narrative came after his breakup with Jackson’s niece in 2013, and his 2016 video deposition directly contradicts the claims he made in Leaving Neverland. Safechuck’s story about being abused at Neverland’s train station in 1988-1992 is outright disproven; the train station wasn’t even built until 1994, when Safechuck was already 16. Both of these men have been caught in multiple lies under oath and now seem to be using this documentary as a platform to reframe their discredited allegations.

Several childhood friends of Michael Jackson, including those who were allegedly named as other victims in the film, have come forward to defend him and denounce the documentary. Additionally, the film conveniently omits the fact that Robson and Safechuck still owe a great deal of court costs to the Jackson estate.

This is a clear attempt to rewrite history by exploiting unsubstantiated claims and ignoring the mountain of contradictions and failed legal battles. The truth has already been established in the courts, and it’s time for this cycle of sensationalist media to end. Let Michael, and the lies, rest in peace.
