I liked it as well - yes, I was shocked when I went to watch it and saw it was an hour and a half! I thought the same - the story was a bit thin for such a long running time - good acting and good characters though… a bit like the Murdoch Mysteries (again, too long a running time for the stories).
The good thing about this is that there seem to be only 3 episodes per season, unlike Murdoch, which is like a movie marathon by the time the season is done. Usually, I’m sad when a season of one of my favorites ends, but with Murdoch, I tend to go “How many danged episodes does this thing have?”
