I think all of the Jurassic World films so far have an end point where the next one could go in any sort of creative direction they want, and the next movie is always underwhelming. I appreciate your optimism, but imo at this point you definitely should expect these movies to be a disappointing mess.
Agree, it’s like too many movie franchises. They may start off amazing/genre breaking and be both really good movies and popular. However, because of this the movie execs rinse and repeat it too many times in an attempt to squeeze every $$$ they can from it. It leads to most people losing interest as the franchise loses the ‘magic’ that made them awesome to begin with.
Best example I think is Toy Story. There seems to be a new film from that franchise every 5- 7 years as they aim to cash in on the newest group of babies/toddlers as the previous one ‘ages’ our of all the toys and other merch.
