I found the first season to be really good and have watched it twice. The second season is where it goes astray. The speed/pacing of the show becomes a full throttle mess. Action music is played throughout. Halfway through the first episode you realize each local character is a bit over the top. The rest of the season it’s midwestern awe shucks, I’m killin folks to make America Great Again, undertones. Well, that’s what you get when you have a foreign production company make a season about Michigan, with an entire cast of folks from the UK. On top of a deep cast of Canadians trying to be Americans, you have writing that tells the audience what you think of Midwesterners. It’s so bad that you can pretty much pick out the bad guys from the way they are presented.
