I remember vividly where I was the first time I saw South Park in 1998. I was at a beach house party at the Jersey Shore. I had heard a little buzz about the show but never saw it. Everybody at the party stopped to watch South Park. My jaw dropped to the floor. Like literally, my jaw dropped. I had never seen anything like that on TV and wondered how they were allowed to air it on basic cable. My jaw never dropped for any other TV show or movie before. It was great!!! Been a fan ever since that day.
I was at an Isle of Palms beach house in December 1997 with my bf’s family when I viewed my first episode! We were all roaring, holding our sides, and trying not to pee while we laughed….except for the older adults. Needles to say, they didn’t dig it.
