Not what you would expect at all; a punch in the gut that you didn’t know you wanted. In his only feature, writer/director John Maclean takes the best of Leone, the Coens, Tarantino, John Ford, Cassavetes, Eastwood, and others to create his own unique style. Do not take this film lightly, it will break and/or fill your heart if you have one all while making you reconsider what’s truly important.
I agree, it did have many notes of a Tarantino movie. I thought the same thing while watching it.
