I like the set up for this movie. Too many films just jump right into the foray without giving the audience the heads-up. But then the reality of the Hollywood film-format sets in and several long minutes are spent in a space shoot-out. Damn Hollywood loves their shoot-outs no matter what the location. Still, there is just enough mystery to make you want to know more. And the appearance of Linda Hamilton, supposedly with all the answers put yet another spin on things. By the time the movie was over it had incorporated elements of Planet of the Apes, Aliens and Predator … so really, there was nothing new. It wasn’t a total loss however as it is watchable with lots of action and little to no down time. In fact, it is better than some of the sci-fi junk that Netflix is spewing out these days. So ya, I recommend taking a peek at this one.
