Imma probably take some flak for this but idgaf:
It’s stories like this that make people hate the cops, the courts, and the NRA’s 2A gun culture bs, because they perfectly encapsulate a clear failing of all three. If the price of freedom is enabling controlling, misogynistic, domestic violence dirtbags like this guy to murder their spouses, then who is really free? Certainly not women and children dealing with domestic abuse. People don’t want to talk about “toxic masculinity” but how else do you describe the guy in this story? DV rates among cops and military personnel are more than double that of the general populace and there’s a reason for that, but the right never wants to face up to uncomfortable issues like that. They’d rather shout “shall not be infringed!” like that makes it ok that a Marine is dead because her dirtbag husband couldn’t handle the fact that she didn’t want to be his trad wife slave.
