Not gonna make any of my top 10 lists but I wasn’t disappointed. The story, for the most part, is there and the action scenes were good. Besides a few, why are you doing this, moments throughout the film that had me wanting to yell at the screen. I mostly enjoyed this one. I’d rank it a little higher then some of the other newer ones. 6.5/10
I wanna make a note that the Paleontologist, Jonathan Bailey, was good. I feel he lifted the scenes that he was in.
The scene where they just shut the engine off after securing their first sample was so annoying. Before anything bad started happening I’m saying to myself you just said a 100 foot carnivore is stalking you. Why the hell are you just floating now and not getting out of there. Also the scene with the Titanasaur or however you spell it. There standing in five foot grass and you’re telling me one was hidden lying down in it 50 feet from you. That was just bad editing. The boyfriend was annoying in almost every scene he’s in. Lastly the little “pet” dinosaur. Why do we always need to throw in a stupid “mascot”. The others were way worse but I could of done without this as well.
edit: And like some others said Johansson as a SpecOps field person, didn’t play well.
