The acting in this series is seriously good. I did love DS9 but the acting on DS9 is nowhere near the talent this casting has, after watching DS9 and now this, I have to say the best actor on DS9 was without a doubt Quark imo. Sisko was an amazing captain but even his mannerisms got annoying after a while. Captain Janeways portrayal of empathy, justice, fairness, and strong moral compass are just astounding to me, she was a good pick for the show. Did a little reading and found out the actress that played Katherine Janeway refused to let the writers put her into a romantic situation on the show, she wanted all the focus to be on her as a woman in power aboard a starfleet vessel, a smart move. Even Chukotay asked her about pairing off with someone a few episodes ago, and her response was even if she wasn’t married it’s not a luxury she is afforded being a ships captain.
