Just watched the first one, and am about to go to the second one. Can’t understand the hate this is getting, thought it was pretty good. Some people are complaining that it was too complicated, too many plots and sub plots, they must have the attention span of gnats, this was not at all that complicated or hard to understand, and it does explain at least to some degree where and how the synths came into being from the other Alien movies.
That being said, clearly, they found a way to program them, so they were not just human minds placed into machine bodies at some point, so they could do the bidding of the people that programmed them. Thinking that would probably make more then a few of them psychotic, which we might well see in future episodes.
