interesting take, as an economic history of the US. falls short a little in terms of discussing hegemony and extraction, but otherwise decent euro analysis. something didnt rub me the right way, i think its what was missing from the analysis. similar to adam curtis’ work in a way, not quite rich hall. seemed at one point to be a promotion of a sort of liberal pro union progressivism, but still from a statist perspective. i guess thats democratic socialism lite perhaps? .. fine..
