Damn that was a good one, discovering Gov.Cox alone was worth the price of admission.
So happy hearing the things i think, (on humanities sublimation i.e. not evolving past our primal & violent instincts) coming from a person of power! (though worded differently of course)
Plus the strange story of the Eagle S. coming right after was funny because it was showcasing more of the same Atavism of humanity, A larger predator using instrumental aggression on vulnerable weaker prey (smaller neighboring countries). Perfectly illustrating the first segments root points.
Plus the D White interview was great because Ive been practicing Jujitsu since I was 13, Tae kwon do since 9 and was fan since after watching live (next week on VHS) the first UFC match w/Royce Gracie! Love that THESE primal instincts are controlled and used in organized competition that pushes you forward & is about leveling up and teaching learning from each iother. A loss is considered the best lessons as well.
I mean just look at the Gracie family legacy,
( Jui Jitsuโs spreading self discipline and giving direction to many especially the ghetto youth in Brazil that otherwise have no direction but the streets in extreme violence and chaos absent of gov support basic utilities or police/sanitation etc etc) that speaks for itself better than anything I can say.
Their was great synergy in this episode and series premiere! Fantastic & was just thinking on & discussing w/ my buddy these exact issues (the underlying subtext of all 3 segments)
