This might scare me if I was a kid. I hate stories where the characters have to make dumb decisions to make the plot work. As I watched more kept accumulating. Also, the writers did not take time to develop the story or the characters. The whole thing seemed hurried and horribly edited. I have not read Stephen King
s book so I dont know how much was changed for this movie. But, since he is a popular author I can`t believe this is a reflection of his book.It was based off of his short story of the same name. He never wrote a book for this. Even if he had, there are writers and others that like to change things from his books and King doesn’t always have the power to not let it happen. This happened in so many of the movies based on his books including The Shining with Nicholson, Dreamcatcher, etc. He can’t do it all the time but King did remake that The Shining in 1997 that was more faithful to the book than Stanley Kubrick’s version was.
