Another series that interprets the west as a dystopian hellhole. If these were true, the entire western civilization would have suffered PTSD and it’s doubtful they would have had the capacity to build said ‘civilization’ in the first place.
I enjoyed the first 1 1/2 episodes about as much as I did The Revenant; which is to say, not at all. I’m out.
i dont even know how to explain it other than the west was much more open vast wilderness and little to no law so freedom afforded opportunity to build make dreams because not overcrowded like east coast, but that freedom came with much danger from everything from nature to fellow man.
At the mercy of the wild. but many riches and chances to rebuild grow powerful rich etc. but many snares in an untamed world. where there is darkness, there’s danger.
Just look into brutal & amazing history about the west. it’s out there.
